Exploring the tools of yoga to heighten well-being, season by season.
“And yet it is precisely in this understanding of the inevitability of change that the meaning of yoga enters our life and beckons towards happiness. … This is the ancient meaning of yoga: to move from one situation to another; to understand what I have not understood; to gain what I lack.” TKV Desikachar · Health, Healing and Beyond
About me
I began teaching yoga in 2018, after eight years as a yoga student. In early 2020 I qualified with a Diploma in Yoga Teaching with the British Wheel of Yoga (500+ hours), and have continued extensive further study ever since.
In 2026 I completed my yoga therapy training (700+ hours) with The Society of Yoga Practitioners (TSYP), which included 120 supervised hours of working with private clients.
Teaching, studying and experiencing yoga is an ongoing journey. I am immensely grateful to all who have influenced me through their teachings, to the long lineage of yogic explorers before me, and especially to those who faithfully practise with me. You are my greatest teachers.
My teaching is much influenced by the Krishnamacharya tradition.
My goal
Classes are themed and vary from week to week, aligned with the seasons and the currents we are all affected by — you can usually find the current season’s theme below in the classes section. My main goal is that you work within your ever-changing limits — physically, energetically and psychologically.
We begin with a few moments of silence and mindful breathing, so you can arrive fully in the class.
Gentle, dynamic, breath-led movement prepares you for the peak of the class and its staying postures. Modifications and alternatives are offered throughout to tailor the practice to what you bring today.
We close with slower movement, a guided relaxation, a breathing practice or a short meditation.
Summer 2026
Regular yoga classes pause over the summer school holidays but individual client hours still can be arranged.
The class schedule for the autumn-winter term is laid out below under term dates. The rates for classes will not change.
Wishing you all a peaceful and recuperative time,
Wiebke x

Going Deeper
‘Going Deeper’ are quarterly workshops that engage with the explanations and suggestions of the Yoga Sutras, the seminal text on yoga philosophy. Each usually comprises some chanting, an hour of practice, a lengthy tea break and an hour of discussion.
These workshops have arisen out of my study with Ranju Roy and Dave Charlton, whose monthly classes on yoga philosophy I have attended over the last five years. They have co-authored a book called ‘Embodying the Yoga Sutra’.
Saturday afternoons, 3–5:30pm, in my home · £25 per person.

1:1 Teaching
1:1 teaching can be an addition to your yoga classes, or can stand on its own. Individually tailored classes can be especially suitable for people who want to address specific issues, who currently lack the confidence to join a group class, or who want to further their practice in a particular way.
Maybe you are recovering from a recent illness or injury, maybe you have never done yoga before, or maybe you want the opportunity to tailor your own regular home practice to what your body and mind need in this phase of your life — in all of those cases, 1:1 teaching can be helpful, encouraging and empowering.
Sessions don’t need to be every week. Once a month, twice a year, or just occasionally can be enough.

Yoga therapy is a special one-to-one application of yoga aiming to bring about well-being, health and balance on a physical, psychological and emotional level. It is completely tailored to the individual and considers, for example, your physical characteristics, your daily challenges, your diet and lifestyle habits or your energy levels.
Yoga therapy can be a supportive treatment for a wide range of health and well-being disorders. You might struggle with musculoskeletal problems such as knee or back pain, or with a more systemic illness like hypothyroidism, autoimmunity issues or chronic fatigue. Similarly, the tools of yoga can be harnessed to aid with mental imbalances. Of great value for all conditions is the therapeutic use of breath.
The tools of yoga therapy can include movement, breathwork, meditation, visualisation, mantra (phrase repetition), mudra (hand and body postures) and sound (chanting).
Regular mindful and focussed practice will have an impact on your physical structure, your nervous system, your energy and your mind. Applied appropriately, this therapy will bring about positive change. Yoga therapy aims to engage with the root of a problem and therefore can produce lasting improvements.
What to expect
“Yoga therapy is a coaching model following a process rather than a prescription model following a protocol.” Ganesh Mohan · July 2026
Kind words
A few sentences from people who practise with me.
“Wiebke’s classes are an enjoyable balance of feeling revitalised, reconnected, as well as challenged. I always feel like I’ve hit a re-set button afterwards. Every class is different, and they have specific themes or focuses. I’ve learned a lot about yoga philosophy through Wiebke’s classes.”
“It was a wonderful course, I learnt how to calm down and take care of myself. Also some new knowledge has introduced to me which I can use when I need it. Thank you!”
“I wholeheartedly recommend 1:1 yoga with Wiebke. I have been recently dealing with some lower back issues, and the individualised sessions with her have provided excellent, constructive advice to help me make positive progress. Wiebke always takes great care and offers alternative poses to ensure I am practicing safely and entirely pain-free.”
